Driver killed in rollover crash identified

A driver killed when he was ejected in a rollover crash on U.S. 95 early Friday has been identified as Keaton Layne Niday, 21, of Las Vegas, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Niday was driving a Toyota 4Runner south on U.S. 95, south of Valley View Boulevard, about 4:50 a.m. when he clipped the back of a Ford Ranger pickup truck as he attempted to change lanes, police said.

Both vehicles overturned, and Niday, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the sport utility vehicle, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two occupants in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries, Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.

A Toyota Camry, which was trailing both vehicles, hit the crash debris, police said.
