Police arrest man they say robbed same Henderson smoke shop twice

Police arrested a 36-year-old man Wednesday night in connection with two armed robberies at the same Henderson smoke shop less than two months apart, police said.

Henderson resident Chad M. Nichols was arrested about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday near Horizon Ridge Parkway and Horizon Drive on two counts each of robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon, Henderson Police said.

Police believe Nichols robbed Smoke Cigar and More, located at 35 E. Horizon Ridge, Jan. 29 and March 12.

No one was reported injured in either robbery.

Nichols was booked into the Henderson Detention Center and is being held on a $90,000 bond, police said.

The suspects described in both robberies had guns and demanded money from a clerk before receiving cash and leaving the scene, police said.
