A woman has been arrested and police are still searching for two male suspects in connection with an apparent home invasion Monday night in the northeast valley that left a man dead, Metro Police said.

Officers were called about 2:30 a.m. to a convenience store on East Lake Mead Boulevard near North Hollywood Boulevard, where an injured woman reported she was beaten at a nearby house, police said.

The woman said a man was possibly injured inside the house, Officer Laura Meltzer said.

Police arrived at the house in the 6800 block of Fallona Avenue and discovered the man, who was pronounced dead on scene, Meltzer said.

Officers also located 33-year-old Jennifer Mustachia in the house, police said.

An investigation indicates the male victim answered a knock at the door about 10 p.m. and was attacked by two male suspects who later fled the scene, police said.

Police say it appears Mustachia entered with the males and attacked the woman before falling asleep in the house.

The woman escaped while Mustachia slept, and she called police before being taken to University Medical Center with injuries not believed to be life threatening, police said.

Mustachia was arrested on seven charges including murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon, police said.

Police did not release details about the suspects, describing them only as Hispanic males.

The man's death is the 22nd homicide investigated by Metro this year, police said. His identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Police are asking anyone with additional information on the case to call Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or to email [email protected]. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
