Police are searching for a man they say fought with an employee and shoplifted items at a southwest valley store.

The robbery occurred at a business near Grand Canyon Drive and Peace Way, near Flamingo Road, about 12:30 p.m. Jan. 13, Metro Police said.

The man took merchandise with him into a dressing room, and when he exited the room, the items were missing, police said.

An employee who noticed him leaving tried to stop him, and a struggle ensued, police said.

The man escaped and fled through the parking lot, headed east, police said.

He is believed to be a white man, 28 to 35 years old, who weighs about 230 pounds.

Police believe he is about 5-feet-10-inches tall, and he was last seen wearing a dark baseball hat, a black jacket, a dark shirt and dark pants.

He also had a mustache, police said.
