A 22-year-old woman who died after the car she was driving crashed into a utility pole Saturday morning in the northeast valley has been identified as Las Vegas resident Beatrice Valencia, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Valencia suffered multiple injuries in the accident at the intersection of Owens Avenue and Pecos Road, the Coroner's Office said.
She was driving a white 2008 Dodge Caliber west on Owens Avenue about 7:20 a.m. when the car hit a wooden utility pole at the northeast corner of the intersection, Metro Police Lt. George Warner said.
Valencia was transported to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, he said.
