90-degree weather expected to last through Tuesday

Summer has arrived early in Las Vegas with record-breaking temperatures of 90 degrees heating up the valley, according to the National Weather Service.

The last time Las Vegas experienced 90-degree weather in March was on March 17, 2007. The heat wave hasn't passed just yet. This week, the high will be about 90 degrees Monday and Tuesday, with lows in the 60s in the evenings.

On Wednesday, the weather will take a turn for the cooler, with an expected high of 82 degrees. Next weekend will be the perfect time to be outside, with forecast highs of 75 degrees on Thursday, 74 degrees on Friday, and 79 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

The increase in heat has been because of a rise in high pressure. By the middle of next week, we will be back on a more normal pattern with temperatures back in the 70s, meteorologist Caleb Steele said. There is no expectation of rain next week, just sunny skies and some light winds.
