A portion of Flamingo Road near Las Vegas Boulevard has been reduced to one lane Monday, May 4, 2015, after a water main broke Sunday night.

A water main break discovered yesterday continues to slow traffic on Flamingo Road near Las Vegas Boulevard this morning.
Two of Flamingo’s three westbound lanes have been shut down between Koval Lane and Las Vegas Boulevard South while crews do repairs, Las Vegas Valley Water District spokesman Damon Hodge said.
Officials initially hoped to finish repairs yesterday afternoon but ended up needing to replace a large section of pipe and now plan to have everything wrapped up this afternoon.
Hodge said the break was probably due to aging infrastructure.
