GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — Authorities at Grand Canyon National Park say the body of a Florida man has been recovered and the death is being investigated a possible suicide.

They say the body of 25-year-old Alejandro Bussot, of Miami, was located Wednesday about 250 feet below the South Rim.

A helicopter search located the body Tuesday, but recovery teams couldn't get to it because of weather, terrain and safety concerns.

It's the third fatality at the canyon this year. A Nevada man accidentally fell about 400 feet to his death off the South Rim last Thursday.

Park statistics show that nearly 5 million people visit the Grand Canyon each year and an average of 12 people die there annually. An average of two or three deaths per year are from falls over the rim.
