CARSON CITY — The board of the Nevada Department of Transportation today awarded a $42.2 million contract to finish a freeway around Carson City.
Road and Highway Builders of Sparks was the lowest bidder among six builders competing for the contract. Bids ranged up to $50 million. The state’s estimate for the project was $42.1 million.
