A man arrested in the fatal shooting of his two landlords had a dispute with the couple and was moving off their property, according to a Metro Police report.

Police arrested Mark Carpenter, 47, at Sante Fe Station on Friday on two counts of murder in the deaths of Gary Cravish, 62, and Bonny Cravish, 56.

The couple was found dead in the master bedroom of their home in the 4800 block of North Tioga Way. According to the police report, their daughter Carrie Cravish called police Thursday after discovering the bodies.

She said she went to her parents’ house and noticed her father’s truck was not there and their dog was outside, according to the report. After calling for her parents, she found them in the bedroom, police said.

She told police that Carpenter had lived in a smaller house behind the main house for several years, according to the report.

She said Carpenter was a blackjack dealer at Red Rock Resort and a gun collector, keeping his weapons on the property, the report noted.

He was in process of moving out of the house and into a trailer because Carrie Cravish and her boyfriend were planning on moving into the house where he was staying, the report said.
