Coroner IDs 2 women killed in rollover crash in Laughlin

Two women killed in a rollover crash Sunday on State Route 163 in Laughlin have been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Maria Guzman, 77, and Mary Guzman, 84, both of Los Angeles, died of multiple blunt-force trauma in the crash, which also killed Raymond Guzman, 82, of Los Angeles, the Coroner’s Office said.

The three victims were passengers in a 2000 GMC Safari headed east on State Route 163 about 1:40 p.m. Sunday when the 85-year-old driver lost control after a tire failed, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Maria Guzman, Mary Guzman and Raymond Guzman were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was transported to University Medical Center and treated for minor injuries, officials said.
