Henderson Police investigating deaths of couple as murder-suicide

A man found dead at his home in Henderson was apparently shot to death by his estranged wife, who killed herself at a Las Vegas hotel, according to Henderson Police.

On April 25, a family member requested police check on Charles Schroeder, who could not be reached by telephone, police said. Officers found Schroeder, 66, dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside his home in the 2800 block of Hartwick Pines Drive, police said.

His estranged wife, Zoey Schroeder, was found dead in a Las Vegas hotel from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

Zoey Schroeder, 67, of Las Vegas shot herself in the chest at the SLS Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office. Her body was found April 23, officials said.

Police said the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide, and there are no other suspects.
