Death toll rises to three in small-plane crash at Laughlin

Two more people have died as a result of a plane crash in Laughlin last week, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.

Diana Soto, 58, of Goodyear, Ariz., and Evelin Walker, 64, of Avondale, Ariz., died Wednesday at UMC, the coroner’s office said.

Soto and Walker were passengers on a small plane carrying four people that crashed and caught fire May 17 in the area of 4220 Needles Highway and Big Bend Field, authorities said.

James Walker, 72, was the first reported killed. Walker and another passenger were hospitalized, authorities said.

The plane was headed to Phoenix Goodyear Airport after taking off from Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport.
