My wife and I care for her brother in our home. He is 92 and a World War II veteran who was at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, landed at Normandy on June 9 and fought in Europe. Each time I look at Benny, I know if it were not for him and millions of others like him, I might not be here or might be living a very different life. I have no way to repay him for what he did, but I hope Americans remember and realize what his generation did for us all as we celebrate VE Day and VJ Day, 70 years ago.
