Motorcyclist critical after crash with school bus in northern valley

A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a crash involving a Clark County School District bus this afternoon in the northern valley.

Officers were called about 3:30 p.m. to the scene, near Ann Road and Jones Boulevard, Metro Police said.

A driver and seven Kay Carl Elementary School students were aboard the bus, but none of them was injured, according to police and CCSD spokesman Dave Sheehan.

The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center, police said.

Eastbound Ann is closed at Jones, and the accident is under investigation, police said.

Another bus was sent to continue the route, Sheehan said.
