Firefighters put out blaze at vacant house

A vacant house in the east valley caught fire early this morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire was reported about 2 a.m. at the single-story house at 4992 Idaho Ave., near Nellis and Charleston boulevards. Smoke and flames were coming from the house, officials said.

It took firefighters less than 20 minutes to put out the blaze, officials said. Nobody was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate was available.
