Coroner IDs man shot after fight in parking lot

A man who died after being shot at an apartment complex near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards Monday has been identified as 39-year-old Dwayne Autry Taylor, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Officers were called about 6:50 p.m. to investigate reports of a man shot at the complex in the 5800 block of West Lake Mead, according to a Metro Police news release.

Detectives believe Taylor, whose city of residence was not immediately available, was involved in a fight in the parking lot before he was shot multiple times, police said.

Taylor was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police are looking for a person of interest in the case, described as a black man of medium build and height who goes by the name Seven, according to the release.

This is the 116th homicide investigated by Metro Police this year, according to the release.
