Las Vegas woman arrested after ex-husband’s deadly shooting

A woman has been arrested after her ex-husband was shot to death early Thursday morning in a residential neighborhood near South Cimarron Road and West Sahara Avenue, according to Metro Police.

Officers were called to a report of a shooting about 4:15 a.m. in the 8300 block of Fullmoon Maple Avenue, police said.

Also according to police:

Officers found the man, whose identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office, with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives think 53-year-old Michelle Young and her ex got into an argument before he was shot, and a family member at the house separated the pair before calling police.

Young was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a count of murder with a deadly weapon.

This is the 117th suspected homicide this year investigated by Metro.
