Crash
A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash this evening near Nellis and Charleston boulevards, and traffic in the area is being affected, according to Metro Police.
Police were called about 5:30 p.m. to the 1400 block of Nellis, where a female of unknown age was struck by a southbound vehicle that left the scene, Lt. Bruce Miyama said.
The pedestrian died at the scene, he said.
There are traffic closures in the area, and police advised drivers to expect delays.
