Palace Station evacuated after employee finds suspicious item

Palace Station was briefly evacuated Sunday night as authorities investigated a suspicious item found in the casino, according to Metro Police.

An employee reported finding the item sometime between 7 and 8 p.m., and the casino was evacuated “for a short time,” Officer Michael Rodriguez said.

The item in question turned out to be an e-cigarette box, and patrons were allowed to return to the casino, he said.
