UNLV head baseball coach Tim Chambers was arrested today on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Clark County Detention Center website.

Chambers, 50, was arrested on one DUI count, two counts of failure to maintain lane/improper lane change and one count of driving without proper proof of insurance, according to the website.

Metro Police weren't immediately able to provide information on the incident that led to his arrest.

UNLV Athletics Director Tina Kunzer-Murphy confirmed the arrest and said Chambers has been put on administrative leave.

"We are in the process of gathering all of the facts and at this time have no further comment," she said.

Chambers is being held on $5,000 bail, and a 48-hour hearing in the case is scheduled for 9:47 a.m. Thursday, jail records show.

The university announced in July that Chambers was taking an indefinite medical leave because of back problems that would require surgery.
