Free HIV testing will be offered Saturday at the Gay and Lesbian Center of Southern Nevada as part of National Latino HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center at 401 S. Maryland Parkway.
According to the Southern Nevada Health District, 23 percent of people living with HIV or AIDS in Clark County are Hispanic.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Hispanics account for 21 percent of new HIV infections in the United States each year.
