Christian Marshall had three touchdown runs on five carries today for the visiting Faith Lutheran High football team in a 46-3 win at Pahrump Valley.

The game was delayed for an hour because the officiating crew’s car broke down on the drive from Las Vegas to Pahrump. Still, Faith Lutheran wasn’t bothered by the delay, winning its seventh straight game with one of its best performances of the season.

“We seemed to be clicking in a lot of areas,” Faith Lutheran coach Vernon Fox said. “It was one of our more complete games.”

Saundre Spiller added a pair of touchdown runs for the Crusaders, and quarterback Brenden Joyce completed 10 of 14 for 135 yards and a touchdown.

Pahrump’s lone points came on a first-quarter field goal.

“Defensively, if you can hold someone to three points, it’s a solid game,” Fox said.

Faith Lutheran, already the No. 1 playoff seed from the Sunset League, hosts Spring Valley next week in the regular season finale.
