Bishop Gorman football players McKay Wilson, Brandon Gahagan and Alec Lazarou are shown before the 2015 season.

Bishop Gorman had its best passing game of the season to blow out Legacy 63-7 on the road Friday night.

Prolific junior quarterback Tate Martell threw for 230 yards and five touchdowns, adding another score on the ground.

“It wasn’t really in the game plan,” running backs coach Louie Rodriguez said of airing it out on the Longhorns. “But it was open, so we took it.”

Senior receiver Brandon Gahgan recorded two touchdown receptions, while juniors Tyjon Lindsey and Biaggio Ali Walsh also found the end zone off of Martell passes. Ali Walsh also paced the ground game, rushing for 211 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

Senior running back Jonathan Shumaker had 106 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries.

Sophomore tight end Brevin Jordan caught the first touchdown of the game.
