A Henderson intersection has been reopened after a regional task force deemed a suspicious package found earlier in the day "safe," according to city spokeswoman Michelle French.
Around 8:45 a.m., someone called to report the package at the intersection of South Pueblo and Burkholder boulevards, near Heritage Park, French said.
The intersection was shut down for a few hours as Henderson Police, firefighters and members of the regional armor task force investigated the scene.
The intersection was reopened around 12:30 p.m., French said.
No evacuations were ordered, French said.
