Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a female just east of downtown as a homicide, according to Metro Police.
The death was reported about 8:20 a.m. today in the 1500 block of Fremont Street, police said. The area is between of Bruce Street and Maryland Parkway.
An autopsy will be scheduled sometime this weekend, police said.
No additional information was expected to be released until Monday, police said.
