Traffic roundup: Motorcyclist killed in northwest valley crash

A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle in the northwest valley Wednesday night, Metro Police said.

Police said the intersection of Durango Drive and Centennial Parkway will be shut down for the next few hours while the crash is investigated.

The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center and was later pronounced dead.

• Drivers were being warned to slow down on Interstate 15 North at the U.S. 95 interchange because of road debris reported about 9 a.m. today, according to the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada.

• A crash about 8 a.m. today on I-15 South before Charleston Boulevard was blocking the right lane, the RTC reported.

• A car crash this morning about 8:15 a.m. on U.S. 95 South near Cheyenne Avenue caused the closure of the right lane, according to the RTC.

• Spring Mountain Road at Interstate 15 South was blocked as the result of a crash about 8:50 a.m. today, according to the RTC.

•A crash about 9:30 a.m. today partially blocked the ramp from the westbound 215 Beltway to Interstate 15 South, according to the RTC.

• The right lane of Interstate 15 South was blocked about 8 a.m. because of a crash before the Charleston Boulevard exit.
