Police searching for group of men in Summerlin home invasion

Metro Police are looking for a group of men they say invaded a Summerlin house last month while a juvenile was home.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress about 3:15 p.m. Aug. 17 in the 11600 block of Siena Mist Avenue, near Far Hills Avenue and Desert Foothills Drive, police said.

The juvenile was inside when a red minivan parked in front of the house, police said.

A female minor appeared at the front door, and there was a knock at the door, police said.

When the juvenile didn't answer, the knocking continued, police said.

The occupant looked outside and saw a group of about seven men outside of the house before the men broke in, police said.

The juvenile hid, and when one of the suspects discovered the occupant, they all fled in the minivan, police said.

Anyone with any additional information on the case can call Metro's Northwest Area Command Patrol Investigation Detail at 702-828-8577. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
