Suspicious package found at the Cromwell is deemed safe

Activity at the Cromwell resort on the Las Vegas Strip was disrupted Wednesday night when a suspicious package was found.

Authorities were alerted at 8:22 p.m. of a suspicious item at the property at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, according to a Metro Police statement. By 11 p.m., they deemed the item safe.

Metro dispatched an armor unit to investigate, and pedestrian and vehicle restrictions were in place in the area. Traffic has been restored to normal.
