A fire at this vacation home in the 4000 block of Stormcrest Drive did about $125,000 damage on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.

An apparent electrical fire that started in the attic of an empty vacation home did an estimated $125,000 damage, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.

A Metro Police officer noticed smoke in the area before fire dispatchers received several calls about 2 a.m. today of smoke coming from the house in the 4000 block of Stormcrest Drive, near Alta Drive and Valley View Boulevard, officials said.

After firefighters arrived, flames broke through the roof. It took about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control, officials said.

The fire gutted the attic and kitchen, officials said.

The house appears to be a vacation home used on a seasonal basis, and no one was at the house, officials said. Nobody was injured.

The Clark County Fire Department also responded.
