A woman visiting the Fiesta Henderson for the first time last week hit a $1.9 million jackpot on the Zoltan’s Fortune slot machine.
The winner, identified only as Nicole L., moved to Las Vegas in March and decided to check out the Fiesta on Sept. 2 after receiving a coupon mailer, according to Station Casinos, owner of the Henderson property.
After playing just $15, the woman hit the jackpot. The game is based on the movie “Big” starring Tom Hanks and “just caught her eye,” a Station spokeswoman said.
In a separate big win, International Game Technology PLC said one of its slot machines recently awarded a jackpot of more than $1 million dollars at Caesars Palace.
The company announced today that a player identified only as James M. won $1,271,032 playing Wheel of Fortune Double Diamond at Caesars Palace on Aug. 30.
IGT described the player as a “longtime fan” of the Wheel of Fortune slots and said he was “in complete shock when he won the life-changing jackpot.”
The popular Wheel of Fortune slot theme has minted nearly 1,000 millionaires and paid out more than $3 billion in jackpots since launching in 1996, according to IGT.
