Police taped off part of the parking lot at the Boulder Crossing shopping center in the 5500 block of Boulder Highway after a double shooting that left one person dead on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015.

Police are searching for a man who fatally shot two men outside a southeast valley smoke shop.

The shooting happened about noon Friday at the Boulder Crossing shopping center in the 5500 block of Boulder Highway, near Tropicana Avenue, police said.

One of the victims — a man 20 to 30 years old — was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

According to police, three men were standing on the sidewalk outside the smoke shop when the suspect passed by and entered the store. Upon exiting, he reportedly shot the two victims and fled the scene. The third man was not hit, police said.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark shorts, black socks and black shoes. He should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The identity of the victims, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
