A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 27-year-old Las Vegas man apparently pushed from a vehicle in the southwest valley early Tuesday, according to Metro Police.

Andrew Curry, 33, has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on counts including first-degree murder with a deadly weapon and ownership or possession of a gun by a prohibited person in connection with the death of Kelvin Andrew Gibson, police said.

Gibson, who died of multiple gunshot wounds, was found at the intersection of Willowhill Street and Cape Flattery Avenue, near Buffalo Drive and Tropicana Avenue, after police were called about 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to Metro Police and the Coroner’s Office.

Detectives believe Gibson, who lived in the area, was shot in a vehicle before being shoved onto the street, police said.

He taken to University Medical Center, where he died, police said.

Police said they found the vehicle in which they believe Gibson was shot Wednesday morning.

Curry arrived at St. Rose Dominican Hospital — San Martin Campus with a gunshot wound after the incident and was believed to be a person of interest in the case, police said.

He was taken to University Medical Center and booked in absentia into the Clark County Detention Center, police said.

Curry was initially arrested in connection with another case and is being held without bail, according to jail records and police.
