Vegas Play of the Day: Monday Night Football

We've reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have restarted with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using on odds from the South Point.

Indianapolis Colts minus-6.5 vs. New York Jets: $330 to win $300

I’m sticking with my gut reaction on this one, even though the more I think about it, the more concerned I get that the Jets’ defense is up to the task tonight against Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.

Indianapolis receiver T.Y. Hilton is expected to play through his knee injury tonight, but it’s unclear how effective he can be. And without the threat of a real running game, the Jets could pin their ears back and try to get in Luck’s face every play.

Ultimately, I’m putting my faith (and fake money) on Colts coach Chuck Pagano and Luck to get enough screens and draws to work for big gains that it either forces New York to play more coverage or those plays work well enough that it doesn’t matter and Indianapolis moves on with a comfortable victory.
