A strip mall caught fire Wednesday night, damaging multiple businesses, according to the Henderson Fire Department.

Passing motorists reported the fire about 11 p.m. at Sunset Mountain Vista Plaza, just north of where Sunset Road runs into Mountain Vista Street.

The fire originated in a storefront at 6401 Mountain Vista Street and spread to neighboring businesses before it was extinguished, officials said.

All of the businesses at the shopping center were closed at the time, and there were no injuries to bystanders or firefighters, officials said.

No damage estimate has been established, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
