CARSON CITY — Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush is announcing a 26-member Nevada Hispanic Leadership Committee responsible for bringing his campaign's message to Nevada's sizable bloc of Latino voters.

Bush's campaign announced Monday that the committee's co-chairs would be northern Nevada businesswoman Maria Davis and Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce board member Peter Guzman. Other members of the chamber and the Hispanics in Politics organization are also on the roster.

Guzman said in a statement that he thinks Bush will help defend American values and bring economic success to the Hispanic community.

The committee is the Bush campaign's latest effort to build support in Nevada, which is one of the earliest states in the presidential nominating process. He already announced campaign chairmen in each of Nevada's 17 counties.
