CARSON CITY — Gov. Brian Sandoval has named professional engineer Emil “B.J.” Almberg of Ely to represent rural counties on the state Transportation Board.
Almberg succeeds Tom Fransway of Winnemucca, who did not seek reappointment.
Almberg owns an engineering company in Ely and has worked on several road projects. He was design engineer and provided construction support for 16 schools in Clark County.
The board oversees construction and maintenance of highways in Nevada.
