Bail has been set at $300,000 for a Las Vegas man accused of impersonating a police officer and duct-taping and raping a woman at gunpoint in the back of his car.
A Las Vegas judge on Monday appointed a public defender to represent 26-year-old Blake Lawrence Anderson, and slated Anderson for house arrest if he's released from jail pending a preliminary hearing May 11.
Anderson faces seven felony charges including kidnapping and sexual abuse with a deadly weapon that could get him life in prison.
Police say an admitted prostitute remembered Anderson's license plate number and told police he invited her into his car, drove to a secluded area, identified himself as a police officer, bound her, cut off her underwear and attacked her late March 29.
