Police: 1 arrested, no injuries in shooting outside Henderson apartments

A man was arrested early today after shooting at a parked vehicle outside an apartment building in Henderson, police said.

Nobody was injured.

According to Henderson Police, Deondre Funchess, 24, showed up Monday night at the building in the 800 block of North Major Avenue and got into a scuffle with his uncle.

Later, about 4:30 a.m. today, he returned to speak to his uncle and tried to force his way into the apartment, police said. As he was leaving, he fired several shots at the vehicle, police said.

He was taken into custody at the scene without incident, police said. He was arrested on counts of discharging a gun where persons might be endangered, home invasion, domestic battery and failure to appear in court after posting bail on a previous charge, police said.
