A man has been arrested in a deadly double shooting early Sunday outside a home in the 2400 block of East McWilliams Avenue in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.

Julio Hernandez, 21, was arrested Monday and booked at the Clark County Detention Center, where he faces two counts of murder, police said.

According to police, officers responding to a reported shooting about 1 a.m. Sunday found two men lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The men were taken to University Medical Center, where they died.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified them today as Edgar Palomino, 33, and Javier Ruiz, 29, both of Las Vegas.

They were in the driveway when two males walked past, words were exchanged and shots fired, police said.
