A man was killed and another arrested after a hit-and-run crash Sunday involving a moped and a sport utility vehicle near Texas Station, according to North Las Vegas Police.
Officers responded about 9 p.m. to reports of a body and a moped in the road in the 3300 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard, near Simmons Street, police said.
A witness told police a Chevy Tahoe may have been involved in the crash, which led officers to the SUV in a nearby Wal-Mart parking lot, police said.
After a brief struggle, officers arrested the 20-year-old driver of the truck, police said. The man, whose name was not immediately available, faces counts of DUI with death and hit-and-run with death, police said.
