Fire displaced family of six from east valley home

A family of six was displaced after their east valley home caught fire early this morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded about 5 a.m. to a fire at the single-story home at 4970 E. Idaho Ave., near Nellis and Charleston boulevards, officials said. It took about 30 minutes to put out the fire, which started in a room near the back of the home, officials said.

Nobody was injured, and the Red Cross was notified to assist the two adults and four children who live at the home.
