Firefighters put out blaze in attic of east valley house

A fire broke out early this morning in the attic of a house in the east valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nobody was injured.

Firefighters were called about 7:30 a.m. to the single-story house in the 900 block of Apache Lane, near Christy Lane and Bonanza Road, where smoke and flames were coming from the attic, officials said.

Firefighters put out the blaze in less than 20 minutes, officials said. Southwest Gas and NV Energy were notified to assist with utilities, officials said.

The blaze remains under investigation. A damage estimate was not yet available.
