An inmate who walked away from a work site near U.S. 95 and Valley View Boulevard on Friday is back in custody, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Henderson Police and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Juwan Stuart, 36, shortly before noon after a foot chase in Henderson, prison officials said.

Stuart was working with the Nevada Department of Forestry when he left his work station about 12:30 p.m. on Friday, officials said.

Stuart will face new charges and will complete his sentence for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person at High Desert State Prison, officials said. He had been housed at a minimum-security facility before his escape, officials said.

Stuart was incarcerated March 23 on a case out of a Clark County and was serving a sentence of 14 to 48 months, prison officials said.
