Centennial Hills steakhouse closed after stove fire causes damage

A Centennial Hills restaurant is closed after a stove fire Sunday morning.

Crews from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded about 10:30 a.m. to FireRock Steakhouse, 5990 Centennial Center Blvd., where flames and smoke were reportedly showing from the roof, officials said.

Upon arrival, only a haze of smoke was showing on the inside of the one-story building, officials said. Firefighters found the fire on a stove and extending up to an exhaust pipe from the vent hood over the stove.

The fire was extinguished by automatic fire sprinklers, officials said.

Nobody was injured in the incident. Officials said an air conditioner and some of the roof decking was damaged, but a property damage estimate has not yet been released.

The restaurant will be closed until repairs are made and an inspection is completed by the Clark County Health Department, officials said.
