West valley stabbing leaves victim fighting for life; suspect arrested

A man is in custody Monday night after stabbing a person in the Spring Valley area of Las Vegas, police say.

Metro Police Lt. Kendall Bell said the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. outside a business at 3420 S. Rainbow Blvd., near Spring Mountain Road. He says the suspect confronted the victim and stabbed him multiple times.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and the suspect is in custody, Bell said.

There was no further information on what led to the attack or how the suspect was apprehended.

Bell said the investigation is ongoing.
