CARSON CITY — A Las Vegas man convicted of first-degree murder in the death of a 2-year-old boy has lost an appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court.
Michael A. Lee was sentenced to consecutive life terms in prison without parole plus 96 to 240 months in the June 2011 beating death of his girlfriend’s son.
The three lived together in an apartment, and the mother woke up June 15, 2011, to find her son dead, according to court records.
The court rejected Lee’s arguments that the jury should not have been allowed to see autopsy pictures of the boy and that there was insufficient evidence for a conviction.
