A motorcyclist died this morning after crashing into a highway sign in the northwest valley, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The man was riding east on the 215 Beltway about 1:30 a.m. near the Jones Boulevard exit when he went off the road and hit the sign, officials said.
The 28-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to the University Medical Center, where he later died, authorities said.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash, and witnesses reported the rider had been driving recklessly, officials said.
