Two men were wounded late Thursday in a shooting in the east valley, according to Metro Police.
Two groups of men were walking in the area of Eastern and East St. Louis avenues about 11:40 p.m. when the men, who were familiar with each other, crossed paths and a fight broke out, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
One of the men pulled a handgun and shot two people, grazing one man’s head and striking another in the leg, Hadfield said. They were taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
The shooter fled the scene, police said. No arrests have been made.
