The Basic High football team surrendered a kickoff return for a touchdown on opening kickoff of its season opener today against Taylorsville of Utah.
Seconds later, Basic’s Frank Harris returned the favor. Harris’ 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown helped spark the Wolves to a 55-48 victory.
Harris finished with four touchdowns and also returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown.
Jacob Fulton had an interception around midfield in the final minute to seal the Basic win.
Aaron McAllister passed for about 350 yards and five touchdowns, and Patrick Lustin had a pair of receiving touchdowns.
